Terms of use
The terms that apply when you use this website and ask us to pass your aircon enquiry to an independent air conditioning contractor.
About these terms
By using the site or submitting an enquiry, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What this website does
We connect people who need an air conditioner installed, serviced, repaired or refilled with independent aircon contractors who cover their area. We do not install, service, repair or certify air conditioners, we are not an electrical contractor or a refrigeration business, and we offer no warranty on any unit or on anyone's work. When a contractor contacts you, any quote, agreement, payment, warranty and unit is between you and that contractor.
We are not an agent of the contractor or of you, and we are not a party to the agreement for the work. We are not responsible for the contractor's work, advice, prices, timing, conduct, registration or compliance with laws, regulations or standards.
What we try to do
We aim to pass your enquiry to a contractor who covers your suburb and does the type of work you describe. We cannot promise that a contractor will be available, will contact you within a particular time, or will agree to do the work. If we cannot find a suitable contractor, we will try to tell you.
No promise about the result
Nothing on this website promises that a room will be cooled to a particular temperature, that a unit will work for a particular period, or that a fault will not return. Whether a system performs depends on the unit chosen, how it was sized and installed, and how it is maintained. A contractor can match a system to your room and stand behind their work, and that is the limit of what anyone can honestly offer.
Your responsibilities
Give accurate information in your enquiry and only submit details that are yours or that you are entitled to share. Before you accept a quote, check the unit and its capacity, the scope and what is included, and the warranty offered. Where a job needs registration or a qualification, for example the electrical work or the handling of refrigerant, ask the contractor to show it. Make sure work that needs approval, for example from an estate, a body corporate or a landlord, is approved before it starts. Keep any warranty and service record with your house papers.
Information on this website
Our guides and service pages are general information, written in good faith for Johannesburg homes, landlords and businesses. They are not legal advice and not professional advice for your specific property, and conditions vary from room to room and unit to unit. Do not rely on them instead of an assessment by a contractor, your own insurer's policy wording, or the advice of a professional where one is needed.
We do not publish prices. Any factor we describe is not a quote.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the work, advice or conduct of a contractor, from your reliance on general information on this site, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 that cannot lawfully be limited.
Using the website properly
Do not use the site or the enquiry form to send spam, false enquiries, other people's details without their permission, or anything unlawful or harmful. Do not try to break or overload the site, its security check or the enquiry endpoint. We may block enquiries that appear automated or abusive, and we may decline to pass on any enquiry.
The content on this site belongs to us or is used with permission. You may read it and share links to it, but you may not copy it in bulk or republish it as your own.
Complaints
Complaints about the work should go to the contractor, because the agreement for the work is between you and them.
Privacy
We handle personal information as set out in our privacy policy.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. Last updated: 13 October 2026.
